>> My name is Sarah Dillon. I am the Assistant Director of Athletics at Lancaster Bible College. My primary role is to fundraise for the department and then also, I am the sole academic support individual for the department for student athletes. So a typical day, I sometimes meet with potential sponsors, and I'm always meeting with students to talk about scheduling issues or time management, study skills, organization, and things like that. So those are the two big parts of my day. There are 200 student athletes on campus, which might not sound like a lot, but for a campus of 2000, it's a pretty high percentage of involvement. I have adopted-- I did some graduate work at the University of South Carolina and we used the appreciative advising approach and so that's really a holistic approach to getting to know a student and building a relationship with them. And so it provides a really great foundation for what that meeting would look like with a student. So really getting to know what their heartbeat is, why they're at Lancaster Bible College, what they want to do with their degree, and then how they're going about that. So what is their plan for being successful academically and extra curriculars and also in having an internship or some sort of professional experience? And our goal is to kind of start building that from the freshman year moving forward, so that it's a holistic approach. We have the Chargers Club, which is a booster club to really involve individual donors, alum, parents. And then we also have corporate sponsorship opportunities. So those are two different fundraising caveats in which we're kind of working on simultaneously, each of which are individualized for our 13 intercollegiate sports. So it's a lot of juggling and it's really kind of new to Lancaster Bible College. So it's all new projects for the first time.
